Since neuroblastoma was first described by Virchow as a "Glioma" in 1863, J. H. Wright coined the term "Neuroblastoma" in 1910, it has been known a clinically rare disease in adults.
A case described by authors was a-37 year-old man with the chief complaints of dull abdominal pain and a large palpable mass in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen. After various diagnostic measures including plain films of abdomen, barium enema, I V. P.; and liver scanning, exploratory laparotomy was done under the impression of the retroperitoneal tumor or the liver cyst.
During exploration, we found a well encapsulated solid mass measuring; 15 X 13 X 12 cm in the right upper retroperitoneum and performed enucleation of the tumor. .
It was confirmed as neuroblastoma, pathologically.
A brief review of literatures was made.
